Atkinson Building Contractors are specialists in design-build and property improvements. As part of a recent brand refresh, the group also features a wider service offering online, including reputable homes (sales and rent), electrical, and plumbing and heating (including renewable projects) services. The business aims to act as a ‘one stop shop’ for its customers, going from initial project plans to completion, while taking complete care of customer requirements throughout the process. The business has over 30 years of experience in building superb quality homes across Cumbria, all adhering to standards of excellence. The business’ ethos centres around quality, working respectfully with the environment, and exceeding customer expectation.
Atkinsons wanted to reflect its brand refresh by developing a new website that housed each service offering in an informative, user-friendly way. Each individual service needed a clear presence onsite, but there was a clear need to emphasise the main brand too. This had to be incorporated into the structure, giving users a clear indication of their journey through the site.
Considering the clients’ brief and keeping coherence at the forefront of the design, we built a site that captured both the main brand identity as well as the core services. We designed a multi-level navigation to ensure that specific service information is accessible and can be displayed in each section. To define the different service offerings, we used logos, colours and multi-level navigation for each section sitewide. This was complimented by our structured CMS system, helping to further distinguish the different areas of the business by having allocated login pages for each section.
Finally, we made shared content easy to access on the site, linking shared news stories, accreditations and awards shared by the firm all linked to appear on each relevant page.
