Borderway Agri Expo

Website Design, Branding, Print, Signs

Borderway Agri Expo showcases the best quality beef cattle and sheep, the latest developments in farming practice, breeding, genetics, machinery, equipment, technology, environmental issues, livestock marketing and export opportunities. It is now known to be a true celebration of the very best British Livestock, as well as the farmers, breeders, and stockmen who look after them. The event made a prolific return in 2021, after being postponed the year prior due to the pandemic.

The Challenge

The objective of the brief was to position Agri Expo as the agricultural industry prime event, showcasing pedigree livestock, breeders, and producers in the UK. One of the main goals was to increase trade interactions with the show, and the aim around achieving this was focused primarily on digital solutions. The brand also needed reinforced to best reflect the values of the event, while maintaining the legacy of the expo.

The Brief

The request for our creative team was to design an all-new presence for Agri Expo, creating an identity that spanned across both digital and print mediums. We also needed to devise a sleek way of communicating the new identity, with focus placed on creating an engaging social media strategy. The wider team was briefed in to support on providing content and designs for adding a new appeal to the event catalogues, alongside a signage refresh. The brief was underpinned by the need to maintain and enhance the authority of the event, with the aim to boost attendance and encourage lead generation for businesses in attendance.

What we did

After conducting extensive collaborative research working closely with the team at Agri Expo, we channelled our efforts into creating a fresh feel to the brand. Our initial framework included the creation of design standards, and we used these as a base for the supporting projects. We used the new design standards to implement changes to digital channels, including a new website launch, social channels, and digital marketing recourses along with the events and signage and promotional material.

The Outcome

We’ve evolved the look and feel of the Agri Expo branding, modernising it to suit new markets and simplifying its originally complex logo. We translated our design standards across each channel, from the new website to the supporting print materials, and we chose a palette of strong, bold colours. We also utilised video content from the event and refreshed onsite messaging, helping to ensure that the site was as engaging as possible, developing the appeal of the expo for new audiences.
